OUR HISTORY
Community Involvement:
Our community is part of our team, and we strive to give back at every chance we find.
In February 2021, the Breakers built comfy dog houses for the Delta RCMP. It was an amazing opportunity, allowing team members to develop woodworking skills and make an impact.
In our school, the team trains new members in robotics as well as teaching core life skills, including time management, self-regulation and critical thinking. Collaboration is a value in our hearts, so we work towards caring for all our team and our communities.
In the coming years, the team plans for more community events to encourage collaboration and personal growth. Some events in mind include a Video Game tournament across all grades, exciting robotics workshops and building more structures for our community

FRC (FIRST Robotics Competition) History - Team 7796:
2021 - Infinite Recharge (Virtual)
As Covid hit the world, the competition was hosted virtually. Making use of the school resources, the team trained members following covid protocols and competed in robot-piloting challenges. 2020 - Infinite Recharge Canadian Pacific Regionals: Keeping momentum from the previous year, the team made it as the runner-ups to an all-BC alliance. With a very reliable hanging mechanism for the endgame, the robot was tough to beat and a good ally to have. |
2019 - Destination: Deep Space
Canadian Pacific Regionals: Breaker Robotics had been operating in its rookie season. Although the student-led program had just one mentor and no external funding, its talented and resourceful team worked hard to design, build, and program a robot that went on to become a valuable part of the winning alliance at the 2019 Canadian Pacific Regionals. World Championships: After becoming regional champions, the team at Breaker Robotics worked tirelessly over a span of six weeks to raise more than $20,000 to fund a trip to Houston, TX. The team competed in the 2019 World Championships. CLICK HERE TO READ MORE! |
